External UBS Drive not mounting…why?

External UBS Drive not mounting…why?

Have a QNAP DAS attached (USB) to a server running Ubuntu 18.04.5 which fails to mount at boot.

Server file system is BTRFS, the external drive is ext4.

Here is the /etc/fstab entry for the external drive.:

Code:

UUID=5b5cec0e-06f4-4120-bc65-39c1449c3d73  /qnapext    ext4    defaults,nofail    0  1

Odd thing is it wont mount manually to `/qnapext` but if I create another mount point like `/qnapnew` it will mount properly.

The next time the server reboots `/qnapnew` will fail to mount at boot or manually but if I create another mount like `/qnapnew2` it will mount properly.

What am I missing?

Here is the output of dmesg:

Code:

[Sat Aug 29 19:15:26 2020] sd 1:0:0:0: [sdg] Very big device. Trying to use READ CAPACITY(16).

Any help is appreciated.

can I install Calibre without GUI?

I don’t much care for the GUI of Calibre, all I care about is the ebook-convert feature of Calibre, so I was wondering if it’s possible to install Calibre’s command
