20.04 Dedicating GPU to CUDA and using Intel for Graphics

I was wondering if anyone has a way that I can go about using the GPU exclusively for CUDA and using the Intel chip for graphics? I found how-tos to do this with Ubuntu 18.04 by modifying xorg.conf, such as here:

I went ahead and followed the instructions however I ran in to some bad problems after the reboot with graphics glitches, screen tearing, trailing and color distortions.
